Staircase gallery wall

My stairway gallery wall is finished!  My stairway that was previously really boring is now inspirational and happy.  I just typed up all my favorite sayings on the computer and printed them on cream cardstock.

A view from below so you can get an idea of the space.  I wish we had one of those stairways that goes straight up so that we could have a giant gallery all the way up.

I did this gallery the same way as the ledge shelf and living room gallery wall.  This wall was hard because it was HUGE so we tried arranging it all on the kitchen table first.  That worked great until the kids wanted to eat then it was really inconvenient.  Most of the frames are old ones.  I did get a few new ones from Ikea.  The rest I just spray painted white or black to match.  Spray paint I love you.

Love how it turned out!

    >Brook it looks so well put together. Now I'm ashamed of my pictures gathering dust in the basement. Maybe I should do something grand with them like you? Thanks for the inspiration.

    >It looks fabulous! I really want to do one in my living room but still havent. I have plenty of frames & photos, but I just can't seem to get around to doing it. I think I'm stuck on frame color – I can't decide if I want white or black, or I guess both? Or even other colors thrown in?

    >I have the exact same problem as Wendy. I have lots of frames, tonnes of pictures … but just need to DO it! Hubby and I are also at odds with frame colour. I say a mixture of black, white and possibly silver but he wants all black. With a black leather sofa and hardwood we could do either.

Brook — what's your take on mixing colour pics with black & white (or even sepia) in the same picture grouping? If that's done should the frames all be the same colour to unify the grouping?

    >Nice, I don't really have something to collect like this, I just have a nice entertainment place, with 2 consols and nice audio, I'm photographer and I also have frames all around my place of pictures that I like very much.
